Ellijay is known as the apple capital, but when harvest season ends, local life shifts toward cozy mountain cabins and wood-burning hearths. Because Gilmer County experiences significantly cooler winter temperatures than lower elevations in the state, a reliable wood supply is essential for comfort. Many properties feature traditional stone fireplaces, cast-iron wood stoves, or backyard fire pits used after long days exploring the surrounding national forest. Homeowners here prefer dense hardwoods like seasoned oak and hickory because they burn hotter and longer, providing the steady, reliable heat required during frosty mountain evenings.
Delivering firewood in Ellijay requires navigating winding mountain roads, steep cabin driveways, and gated resort communities like Coosawattee River Resort or Walnut Mountain. Our delivery trucks are equipped to handle gravel inclines and narrow turns, allowing us to drop your firewood close to your garage, porch, or outdoor wood rack. We work carefully with each property layout to ensure safe, efficient placement without damaging your landscaping or driveway.
Ellijay sits about 41 miles from our Alpharetta base, on our regular North Georgia route. Weekday and weekend slots are available, and most orders arrive within 2–3 business days.
We deliver to homes near Downtown Ellijay Historic District, Carters Lake, Chattahoochee National Forest and Panorama Orchards.
