Covington features a unique mix of historic antebellum homes with traditional masonry fireplaces and modern suburban subdivisions with backyard fire pits. Newton County winters bring plenty of damp, chilly evenings where a steady-burning fire is essential for comfort. Many residents rely on wood-burning stoves and open hearths to warm older properties or to add coziness during crisp autumn weekends. Because the area boasts heavily wooded lots and rural acreage, burning seasoned oak and hickory provides the long-lasting coals and dependable heat that local homeowners appreciate throughout the heating season.
Navigating long gravel driveways in rural Salem or tight streets near the historic district requires careful truck maneuvering. We routinely drop loads in neighborhoods like Chimney Ridge and around Oxford, placing the wood safely on driveways while keeping your property protected. Our drivers work with you to find the most convenient drop spot for your seasoned oak and hickory stack.
