Many properties feature spacious, wooded lots with classic masonry hearths or backyard fire pits used for weekend gatherings. Burning dense hardwoods like seasoned oak and hickory provides steady, long-lasting heat that warms older homes and modern lake houses alike, making firewood an integral part of local seasonal routines.
